Belarus Deploys Nearly One-Third of Its Army Along the Ukrainian Border: Lukashenko

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has announced that Minsk has deployed nearly one-third of its armed forces along the entire border with Ukraine, according to the state news agency BelTA.

He stated that this move was necessary because Kyiv has stationed over 120,000 troops at the Belarusian border. A close ally of Russian President Putin, he did not specify how many military personnel have actually been deployed.

According to data from the International Institute for Strategic Studies in 2022, Belarus has a professional army of about 48,000 soldiers and approximately 12,000 border guards.

On Saturday, Kyiv announced that it had not seen any signs of Belarusian troop concentrations at the border.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army has struck weapon depots belonging to Hezbollah in Lebanon.
