Union of Armenians in Russia Appeals to Putin to Discuss Former Leaders of Artsakh with Aliyev
The Union of Armenians in Russia has appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin, requesting him to raise the issue of Armenians held in Azerbaijan, including the former leaders of Artsakh, during negotiations with Ilham Aliyev.
In a letter, the union's president, Ara Abrahamyan, called on behalf of millions of Russian citizens of Armenian descent to address the fate of hundreds of thousands of forcibly displaced Armenians, the preservation of Artsakh's cultural, historical, and spiritual heritage, and the situation of several dozen Armenian prisoners illegally held in Artsakh.
