Two Furniture Workshops Burned in Argavand Fire, Ministry of Emergency Situations Reports
On August 17, a fire in the village of Argavand destroyed two furniture workshops, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia. The alarm regarding the fire was received at 02:14 AM.
Five firefighting units, the on-duty personnel from the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Department, as well as groups from the Crisis Management National Center and the Medical Support Department, were dispatched to the scene.
According to the source, the fire was contained by 04:40 AM and extinguished by 05:09 AM. The first workshop was completely burned, covering approximately 110 square meters, while the second workshop suffered partial damage of around 120 square meters, including the roof of an adjacent house, approximately 70 square meters.
Additionally, a bathroom (about 3 square meters), two bedrooms (both partially damaged at around 20 square meters each), and a balcony with furniture (approximately 15 square meters) were also affected.
On October 17, a fire had also broken out in one of the car service centers located in Yerevan, resulting in the burning of several vehicles.
