Hamas Rejects New Gaza Ceasefire Agreement Proposed by the U.S.

The Palestinian Hamas movement has rejected a new version of the ceasefire agreement proposed by the United States in negotiations with Israel, stating that it does not include the conditions previously articulated by the Palestinian group. This was reported by the Associated Press, citing a statement from the group.

According to the movement's statement, the latest proposal significantly differs from a previous version that they had fundamentally agreed upon, indicating that they are not prepared to accept it.

Additionally, EFE reported that Hamas has called for their own terms to be included in the deal rather than further demands put forth by Israel later on. Meanwhile, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed that Israel highly appreciates the efforts of the U.S. and mediators in the negotiations, as well as the attempts to persuade Hamas to accept the provisions of the agreement.
