Two Pilots Killed in Fighter Jet Collision in France

On Wednesday, two French pilots lost their lives due to a collision of Rafale fighter jets in eastern France. This was announced today by French President Emmanuel Macron.

“We were saddened to learn of the deaths of Captain Sébastien Mabire and Lieutenant Mathis Lorens in an aviation accident during a training flight,” Macron wrote on X.

Three people were aboard the fighter jets. According to media reports, one of the pilots ejected from the cockpit and was hospitalized with injuries.
