Owners of Vehicles Damaged by Disaster to be Compensated

In the Lori and Tavush regions, owners of 193 vehicles damaged by the disaster will be compensated. This decision was made during a meeting of the Armenian government.

Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Arpine Sargsyan clarified that each vehicle will have an expert conclusion, which will serve as the basis for the governors to allocate compensation.

“From August 26, citizens will be able to submit their applications and receive compensation in a short time. Citizens will provide their bank account details, and the corresponding amount will be transferred to them,” Sargsyan said.

According to her, all owners' data has been identified: “The compensations will be sufficient to either fully repair the damaged vehicle or to purchase a new vehicle close to its market value.”
