Israel Denies Information on Netanyahu's Conversation with Trump
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office has denied reports that the premier discussed the possibility of a ceasefire deal in the Gaza Strip with U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump.
"Contrary to reports, the Prime Minister did not speak with former President Donald Trump yesterday," the statement from the press service reads, as cited by the Ynet portal.
Earlier, the Axios portal reported that Trump had discussed the potential for a ceasefire deal in the Gaza Strip with Netanyahu on August 14, citing sources. It was noted that the former president aimed to "push Netanyahu towards a deal" with the radical Palestinian group Hamas during the call.
