Vladimir Putin Signs New Decree

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on the establishment of the Maritime Collegium of the Russian Federation. The document has been published on the official internet portal of legal information.

In late July, the president’s assistant, Nikolai Patrushev, who oversees national maritime policy issues, reported that the council will create recommendations for the strategic development of the navy, the protection of Russia's national interests in the Arctic, and the development and support of maritime activities of the Russian Federation.
