VIDEO: Pashinyan Addresses Comments on Streets and Sidewalks from Yesterday's Video
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has shared a video on his Facebook page, addressing the comments made regarding his video from yesterday. He stated, “Several comments regarding the video about streets and sidewalks caught my attention. The main substance was that vehicles are stopping on the sidewalks, and construction works are taking place on the sidewalks, occupying the space because the police are not fulfilling their duties. There is a fundamental conceptual issue here; the entire essence and purpose of my video was to highlight this concept. Yes, the police play a very important role in maintaining law and order, but if you paid attention, I had put a slightly opposite logic in place; otherwise, it would not have made sense to publish the video. The issue is that in my understanding, we, the citizens, must first ensure the rule of law ourselves; this highlights the difference between a totalitarian and a democratic society,” he noted.
