Accident on Yerevan-Sevan Highway Involves 2-Year-Old Child

Late at night, an accident occurred on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, resulting in several injuries. The information was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations Rescue Service.

It was noted that on August 12, at 23:38, a call was received at the Kotayk Regional Rescue Service Crisis Management Center reporting an accident in the 'Chayn’s curves' area of the Yerevan-Sevan highway with casualties.

A rescue team from the special operations department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that at kilometer 26 of the Yerevan-Sevan highway, a 'Mazda' vehicle (driver: V. G., born 1994) collided with a roadside barrier, which penetrated into the passenger cabin of the vehicle.

'Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the driver, along with passengers A. H. (born 1991) and A. G. (born 2022), were removed from the vehicle and hospitalized. A. H.'s health condition was assessed as serious, while V. G. and A. G. were reported to be in moderate condition,' the statement reads.

The rescuers secured the area, disabled the vehicle, assisted victim V. G. to the ambulance, and removed the iron structure of the barrier from the vehicle.
