Biden Explains Why He Withdrew from the Presidential Race

U.S. President Joe Biden has decided to withdraw from the presidential race to allow the Democratic Party to focus on its primary issue: preventing former President Donald Trump from returning to the White House. He discussed this during an interview on CBS Sunday Morning, which was released on August 11.

Biden stated that he made the decision to pause his campaign with his family at the end of July, a few weeks after an unsuccessful debate with Trump. "When I first ran for office, I considered myself a transitional president. I can’t even tell you how old I am; it’s hard for me to say," the U.S. president added.

It is noteworthy that on July 21, Biden announced his withdrawal from the race and endorsed the current Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate.
