Accident on Heratsi Street Involves Wheat-Loaded Kamaz and Passenger Bus, Several Injured

On August 11, at 09:10, the National Crisis Management Center received information about a traffic accident on Heratsi Street, indicating that there were injuries. Emergency responders from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' rescue service in Yerevan dispatched two fire and rescue units and a specialized rescue operations team to the scene.

It was determined that a wheat-loaded Shacman truck collided with a MAN bus serving route 36, subsequently hitting a parked Toyota vehicle and overturning. Both the truck and the bus were leaking fuel.

According to updated information, 17 injured people have been transported to medical centers in Yerevan. Several victims received on-site assistance from the rescuers. Rescuers cordoned off the area, disconnected the truck’s power, carried out road washing operations, extricated one trapped victim from the bus, and transported two victims on stretchers to a nearby medical facility, while others were helped to ambulances.
