What is Known About the Shooting Incident Near the Vahramaberd Church: One Suspect is the Village Mayor's Brother

The individual who died after being hospitalized due to gunfire near Vahramaberd is 31-year-old Arabo Tarloyan, a resident of Marmashen, while the injured party is 39-year-old Levon Tarloyan from the same village, diagnosed with a "left ankle-joint injury." This is reported by shamshyan.com.

It has been revealed that the corpse exhibited a gunshot wound to the front right side of the chest. The police have also determined that the injury was sustained during an altercation near the Vahramaberd church.

In relation to the incident, a criminal case has been initiated at the Shirak Regional Investigative Department under the characteristics of "murder" and "attempted murder." According to operational information, at approximately 5:00 PM on August 9, a dispute occurred near the Vahramaberd church between A. Tarloyan, L. Tarloyan, and on the other side, 36-year-old Saro Hovhannisyan, 37-year-old Varazdat Hovhannisyan from Gyumri, and 34-year-old Zori Hovhannisyan, residents of Vahramaberd.

During the altercation, A. Tarloyan allegedly stabbed Z. Hovhannisyan with a knife. Subsequently, Z. Hovhannisyan retrieved a 12-gauge double-barreled shotgun from his "Mercedes" vehicle and fired shots towards A. and L. Tarloyan before fleeing the scene in the vehicle.

According to G. Shamshyan's information, Saro Hovhannisyan, a 36-year-old resident of Vahramaberd who witnessed the altercation, has already provided an explanation to the police about the incident. G. Shamshyan notes that he is the administrative head of the Vahramaberd community, and one of the suspects in the mentioned murder is his brother.
