Ukrainian Forces Circumvent Chechen 'Akhmat' Unit During Assault on Kursk Region

Ukrainian soldiers who have invaded the Kursk region of Russia have bypassed the checkpoints of the Chechen 'Akhmat' unit, which was supposed to defend the border. This was announced by the commander of the 'Akhmat' special forces unit, Apti Alaudinov, while commenting on the situation in the Kursk region.

Alaudinov reported that one of the 'Akhmat' special forces units is already in the Kursk region. At the same time, according to him, 'nothing critical or tragic' has occurred in the area.

He stated that all fighters of the 'Akhmat' unit who were stationed at the Kursk region's border before the fighting began are still in their positions, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces have circumvented them.

Alaudinov published a video commenting on the situation on the evening of August 7. Agency reporters have drawn attention to this against the backdrop of reports that the Chechen units defending the border in the Kursk region did not offer resistance to the Ukrainian armed forces. On the same day, Russian military commentator Yuri Kotenok stated that the Ukrainian assault in the Kursk region is being repelled by the border guards and the militia, apart from the fighters of 'Akhmat' who are in the combat zone. 'Throughout the day, in all combat reports, I did not see any mention of the 'TikTok troops',' he wrote.
