Turkish Man Assaults 13-Year-Old Boy in Hrazdan Gorge: Details
The Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Malatia police department has received operational information regarding a man in Hrazdan Gorge who has been physically assaulting a boy aged 12-13 years old. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.
The incident occurred on August 3. It has been reported that the child presented himself to the Malatia police department, where it was revealed that he is a 13-year-old citizen of Turkey. He entered Armenia from Turkey via Georgia on July 31 with his 44-year-old father and has been residing in one of the hotels on Sebastiya Street.
According to the website's information, the minor stated at the police department that his father had reprimanded him during a sports workout, after which he struck the boy twice in the face with his fist and hit various parts of his body multiple times with both hands and feet. The child fell, and again his father assaulted him, causing bodily harm and physical pain.
Documents regarding the incident have been prepared at the Malatia police department and forwarded to the Malatia investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia in Yerevan for further investigation. “Such an incident has occurred, and a criminal case has been initiated under the provisions of point 6 of part 2 of Article 195 of the RA Criminal Code. The circumstances are being clarified during the pre-investigation,” officials from the committee stated.
