US Expects Iran to Attack Israel on August 8-9

The United States is anticipating that Iran will launch an attack on Israel on August 8-9, following the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of Hezbollah. This information was reported by Al Arabiya television.

“Preliminary assessments had forecast the attack to occur earlier in the week, but recent intelligence suggests it could be postponed until Thursday or Friday evening,” the report states.

As noted by Al Arabiya, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has made it clear that both Iran and Hezbollah will respond, although he did not elaborate on the possibility of a “widespread coordinated attack.”
