Palestine Ready to Negotiate with Israel: Abbas
In the framework of a peace conference, Palestine is prepared to negotiate with Israel regarding the final status. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas shared this information with RIA Novosti.
"The State of Palestine has developed a political vision and an action plan that has been approved by a group of six Arab states, and which has been presented for discussion among the USA, the EU, and UN Security Council members. At its core is a comprehensive political resolution that calls for the cessation of Israeli presence in the Gaza Strip," he stated.
He emphasized that the proposed resolution entails “negotiations with the Israeli side regarding the final status within the framework of an international peace conference, with a specific timeline and the development of regional security mechanisms.”
Abbas noted that within the framework of this resolution, the Palestinian national administration is ready to exercise its functions in the Gaza Strip and demands the cessation of all unilateral hostile actions by Israel in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
