Niger Breaks Diplomatic Relations with Ukraine

Nigerian authorities have announced the immediate severance of diplomatic relations with Ukraine, citing support provided by Kyiv to terrorist organizations.

The statement reads, "The Government of the Republic of Niger, in support of the government and people of Mali, has decided to break diplomatic relations with Ukraine. This decision comes into effect immediately."

It is worth noting that on August 5, the Mali authorities also declared the severance of diplomatic relations with Ukraine. Prior to that, Kyiv had expressed support for the rebels fighting against government forces.
