NATO Calls on Moscow to Withdraw Armed Forces from Georgian Territory

NATO has urged Moscow to withdraw its armed forces from Georgian territory. This was stated in a declaration by NATO spokesperson Farah Dahlalallah published on social media in connection with the 16th anniversary of the Russo-Georgian war.

The statement emphasizes that NATO fully supports Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. “We call on Russia to withdraw the forces it has deployed in Georgia without the country’s consent. Despite 16 years of Russian occupation, South Ossetia and Abkhazia remain part of Georgia,” the statement reads.
