VIDEO: Russian Women Beaten by Police in Turkey, Left Without Money, Forced to Live in Abandoned Building

In Turkey, Russian tourists who got into a fight with Turkish police at the airport are now living on the streets. They are hiding in an abandoned building to avoid being detained again for vagrancy. This was reported by the SHOT Telegram channel.

Svetlana and Yuliya, who spoke to SHOT, said their situation has been reclassified as administrative. Meanwhile, the consul informed them that there would be another preliminary meeting, where they would be fined. They must wait for this meeting, which could take place in December.

The women have run out of money; they have literally been homeless for five days in the streets of Antalya. They slept on the beach for two nights, and recently locals felt sorry for them and advised them to find an abandoned place.

Overall, the women spent about 300,000 rubles on their 'holiday.' Relatives are sending money to support them, but it barely covers the cost of food.

The women arrived in Antalya on June 6. They drank gin before the flight to gather courage. At the Turkish airport, one tourist was not allowed to cross the border, and the second's phone was confiscated. When the Russian women began to cause a scene, they were brutally detained. The women claim that the police beat them and pulled out their nails.

The Turkish prosecutor's office stated that the tourists themselves provoked the altercation at the airport and sustained injuries as a result of resisting local security forces, for which they face up to three years in prison in their homeland.
