VIDEO: Sergey Shoigu Has Departed for Iran

The Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergey Shoigu, arrived in Iran today, August 5, for a working visit. It has been announced that he will conduct negotiations with the Chief of the General Staff of Iran's Armed Forces, Mohammad Bagheri, and the President of the Islamic Republic, Masoud Pezeshkian.

In his meeting with General Bagheri, Shoigu emphasized complete cooperation between Russia and Iran in addressing current regional issues. He also expressed his concerns regarding the sharp escalation of the situation in the Middle East.
