Ryabkov Shares Details on New Attack During Live Broadcast

During a live broadcast on "Rossiya-1", Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov revealed that Ukrainian special services were preparing an attack in Russia on Navy Day, coinciding with speeches by President Putin and Defense Minister Belozertsev at a ceremonial parade in St. Petersburg.

Belozertsev reportedly contacted the Pentagon to warn them of the potential consequences, which left Lloyd Austin quite surprised, although he took the information seriously. Washington then established contact with Kyiv and requested the cancellation of any plans.

According to the diplomat, if the Ukrainian operation had been executed, it would have embroiled Russia and the U.S. in an "uncontrollable conflict." Ryabkov did not disclose further details, citing state secrecy.
