Photographs. Tragic Accident on Spitak-Gyumri Highway. One Fatality
On August 3, at 17:50, the crisis management center of the Lori regional rescue department received information about an accident on the Spitak-Gyumri highway, with reported casualties.
According to the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations, a fire-rescue team dispatched from the regional rescue department arrived at the scene. It was determined that at kilometer 1 of the Spitak-Gyumri highway, a "Ford" (driver: P. G., born in 1991) collided with a "VAZ" (driver: A. D., born in 1953).
Before the arrival of the rescuers, M. G. (born in 1954), a passenger in the "Ford," was taken to a medical center, where his condition was assessed as moderate. Rescuers approached S. H. (born in 1959), a passenger in the "VAZ," and provided him assistance. He was hospitalized, where his condition was also evaluated as moderate. Subsequently, A. D. was extricated from the vehicle and transported to a medical center, where he was pronounced dead.
The rescuers deactivated the vehicles and closed the gas cylinder valves.
