Sweden Temporarily Closes Its Embassy in Lebanon

Sweden's Foreign Minister Tobias Billström announced yesterday that the country has decided to temporarily close its embassy in Lebanon, located in Beirut, due to security concerns. This was reported by Turkey's state news agency Anadolu.

He stated that the diplomats currently in Beirut will be temporarily relocated to Cyprus. Billström also mentioned that the temporary closure could be extended if necessary, depending on the security situation.
