France Urges Its Citizens in Iran to Leave the Country Immediately
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on its citizens in Iran to leave the Islamic Republic immediately. The reason for this urgent advice is the heightened risk of military escalation between Israel and Iran.
The French Ministry states that the entire country is in a "red" zone. "In light of this, we officially advise French citizens to refrain from traveling to Iran for any reason, and those currently in the country to avoid participating in any form of demonstrations," says the ministry's statement.
Violence in the region has particularly escalated following the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
