Ministry of Defense Addresses Rumors Regarding Vardanian's Appointment as Advisor

Reports have been circulating in the media about the appointment of Lieutenant General K. Vardanian as an advisor to the Minister of Defense. The Ministry of Defense has made an announcement regarding this matter.

We inform our media partners that official statements regarding appointments to high and senior military positions within the Ministry of Defense are issued in accordance with established procedures.

Currently, there are three military advisors to the Minister of Defense: Major General A. Simonian, Reserve Colonel R. Petrosyan, and Reserve Colonel M. Poghosyan.

Additionally, it is noteworthy that individuals can only commence service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia if they hold Armenian citizenship.
