Man Self-Immolates at Multi-Functional Center in Moscow
A visitor at a multi-functional center in southwest Moscow attempted self-immolation, prompting evacuations from the building.
The incident occurred on Novoyasenevsky Avenue, where a man reportedly set himself on fire. According to law enforcement sources quoted by TASS, the fire was successfully extinguished and the victim is receiving medical assistance.
According to Ren TV, approximately 150 people were evacuated from the building housing the facility. The man, identified as 50-year-old Sergey S., reportedly sustained severe burns to his head and neck and was transported by ambulance.
Mash reports that the victim is 61 years old, has a prior criminal record, and is registered at a psychiatric clinic for personality disorders. The publication states that the man had come to the center in search of employment.
