2-Year-Old Child Dies After Being Transferred to Hospital

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case on charges of "murder" regarding the tragic incident that occurred on July 25 at the "Surp Astvatsmikhael" Medical Center in Yerevan. This was reported by Shamshyan.com, citing its sources.

On that day, around 10:00 PM, the Shengavit police department received a call from the Surp Astvatsmikhael Medical Center reporting that a child they had admitted had died.

An operational group from the Shengavit police department, led by the on-duty officer, was dispatched to the hospital. The officers established that the deceased child was 2-year-old Melik A., a resident of one of the villages in the Ararat region.

According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic expert, no signs of violence were found on the body upon external examination. The investigator has ordered a forensic examination of the body.
