We Will Not Leave Without Revenge, We Will Make Israel Regret It: Iran's Chief of Staff

Iran's Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri has stated that Iran will not let the blood of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Palestinian Hamas movement's political bureau, go unavenged. Tasnim reports on Bagheri's remarks:
"We will not leave Haniyeh's blood unavenged. We are working on our response to Israel and we will make Israel regret it greatly," Bagheri said.

It is noteworthy that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during a televised statement, said that Israel has dealt "devastating blows" to its enemies in recent days.
"The three branches of the axis of evil are the Houthis, Hamas, and Hezbollah. In the past few days, we have dealt devastating blows to each of them and settled accounts with them. We will settle accounts with anyone who harms us, kills our children, our citizens. Anyone who harms our country will be responsible for their own death," Netanyahu stated.

On the evening of July 30, the Israeli army announced that it had struck Beirut, claiming that the targeted operation resulted in the death of senior commander Fuad Shoukri of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement. According to Israeli military officials, he was the right-hand man of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and was responsible for a recent attack on Israel that resulted in the deaths of 12 teenagers. Among the fatalities alongside Shoukri was Iranian military adviser Milad Beydin.

Meanwhile, on July 31, Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas's political bureau, was killed in Tehran. Hamas has blamed Israel for this assassination, though Israel has not claimed responsibility.
