Pianist Maria Terteryan Has Passed Away

The head of the "Avet Terteryan" Cultural Foundation, pianist Maria Terteryan, has passed away. The information was shared on Facebook by political scientist Haik Martirosyan. "Dear Masha, may your soul rest in peace. At least in the next world. We will always remember you. Rest in peace, talented, delicate, and beautiful soul..." he wrote.

According to Sputnik Armenia, the cause of death was viral meningitis. She had been in a hospital in Ecuador for the last three weeks in a coma.

It is noteworthy that Maria Terteryan was the granddaughter of composer Avet Terteryan. She resided in Ecuador and last visited Armenia in May of this year.
