The death toll from the missile strike in the Golan Heights, under Israeli control, has reached 12. This is reported by the Times of Israel newspaper.

"At least 12 people have died, mostly children and teenagers, and dozens have been injured when a missile struck a football field in the city of Majdal Shams in the Northern Druze region of the Golan Heights," the report states.

According to local residents and rescuers, citizens were warned of the shelling by an air raid alarm, but it was too brief for most people to respond in time and evacuate the field. The ages of the victims are reported to be between 10 and 20.

On July 27, the Golan Heights, controlled by Israel, was subjected to shelling, resulting in injuries to more than 30 people, including children playing at the Majdal Shams playground. The Israeli Defense Forces stated that the missile was launched from southern Lebanon by Hezbollah formations.

Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari reported that the attack was carried out using an Iranian Falaq-1 missile. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has promised that this attack will not go unanswered.

Earlier, hopes had been expressed that Yemen is entering a phase of war with Israel without red lines.
