What Happened Between Armenian and Azerbaijani Border Guards in Kiran

According to the newspaper "Hraparak", there have been two incidents between Azerbaijani and Armenian border guards in Kiran after the border demarcation. These incidents occurred near a newly constructed road. After the demarcation, the bridge leading to Kiran, which is part of the interstate road, was handed over to the Azerbaijani side, and the construction of a new alternative road began.

It appears that Azerbaijani forces periodically provoke incidents in this area, claiming that the road is being built with boundary violations. Garik Danielyan, a member of the "Armenia" faction, confirmed our information, stating, "I received information from the residents of Kiran that an incident occurred recently on the new road leading to Kiran. Azerbaijani border guards approached and got into an argument with Armenian border guards, claiming that part of the newly constructed road passes over Azerbaijani territory. Residents of Kiran witnessed how Azerbaijanis were harvesting the wheat they had sown, which is the only source of livelihood for many," said the MP.
