Terrorist Attack Prevented in France

The French anti-terror police (PNAT) announced today that they have thwarted a planned terrorist attack within the country. According to Reuters, French authorities have arrested an 18-year-old who was preparing for 'one or more attacks.'

The arrested individual, according to French sources, was in contact with another 18-year-old who was detained on suspicion of initiating a terrorist act on Tuesday. However, French police have not yet clarified whether the planned attacks are linked to the summer Olympic Games starting in Paris tomorrow.
