Altercation and Brawl in Ararat Region: Dispute Between 22-Year-Olds Escalates into Violence with Arrests Made
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, an altercation and brawl occurred in the Ararat region on July 18. Around 11:30 a.m., operational information was received at the Criminal Investigation Department of the Masis division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, indicating that a dispute had arisen between 22-year-old Davit H. and 22-year-old Sahak H. over domestic issues in Geghanist village on July 16, during which they struck each other.
As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, thanks to operational investigative measures taken by the personnel of the Masis division, led by division chief Askhanaz Davtyan, it was established that around 11:30 p.m. on July 16, Sahak H., along with friends from the Ararat region—22-year-old Andranik A., 18-year-old Rafael H., 21-year-old Vahan H., and his friend, 21-year-old Eduard A.—went to the central square of Geghanist village. There, a dispute concerning Sahak H.’s sister arose with Davit H. and his associate, 26-year-old Mikayel M. During this altercation, they engaged in mutual pulling and exchanged sexual insults. Following this, Sahak H. struck Davit H. in various parts of his body, demonstrating an overt disrespect for society.
Based on direct suspicions of hooliganism, Sahak H. and Eduard A. were arrested by officers of the Masis division and transported to the police station, while the mentioned vehicle was moved to the division’s designated impound area.
Documents related to the incident have been prepared by the Masis division of the police, which were subsequently transferred to the investigative division of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia in Ararat region.
