VIDEO: How Rescuers Prevented a Young Man's Suicide Attempt

On July 23, at 11:45 AM, the Operational Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received information that a citizen had climbed onto the roof of a building on Grigor Hasratyan Street in Yerevan and was threatening to commit suicide. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.

Emergency rescue teams including one combat unit from the 7th Fire and Rescue Brigade of the Yerevan Emergency Management Department, along with units from the Psychological Support Division and the Crisis Management National Center, were dispatched to the scene. Staff from the police and ambulance services were also present at the location.

At 12:33 PM, rescuers managed to prevent the suicide attempt of the 1994-born citizen, who was subsequently taken to the Mashtots Police Department.
