Peskov and Kadyrov Discuss 'Raider Capture' of Wildberries by the Mirzoyan Brothers

The Kremlin claims to have no knowledge of the statement made by Chechen Republic leader Ramzan Kadyrov, who alleged that the Wildberries market has been subjected to a "raider capture." In response to a journalist's question about whether authorities are familiar with Kadyrov's statement, a Kremlin representative said, "No, we haven’t seen anything."

On July 23, Wildberries co-founder Vladislav Bakalchuk informed Kadyrov that the market has undergone "improper raider capture" following its merger with the advertising company Russ Outdoor. Following a meeting with businessman Vladislav Bakalchuk, Kadyrov instructed State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov to investigate the situation regarding the merger of Wildberries and the advertising operator Russ Outdoor. The political figure described the incident as an "open and audacious raider capture," blaming the Mirzoyan brothers, Levan and Robert, along with "several notable Caucasians."

Tatiana Bakalchuk, founder of the e-commerce platform, denied the information regarding the company's takeover and announced her separation from her spouse, as reported by Коммерсантъ. Kadyrov stated on his Telegram channel that since early June, through "legal maneuvers," Wildberries' assets have "hurriedly ended up in someone else's hands" via Russ Outdoor. "I know that the levers of this raider process are in the hands of the Mirzoyan brothers, as well as a few notable Caucasians," Kadyrov added.

Tatiana Bakalchuk herself stated that the merger of Wildberries and Russ Outdoor does not constitute a raider capture. "This is a separation," she wrote on her Telegram channel, sharing a joint photo with Vladislav Bakalchuk and Robert Mirzoyan. "Everything was initially coordinated with Vladislav, he was personally present at the presentation of the merged company with the new top management," Bakalchuk claimed.

Wildberries has stated that operations continue as usual. "Details of the divorce process and emotional aspects are of no interest to business publications," the press service reported. According to public data, since summer 2020, 73.6% of Russ Outdoor has been owned by "Stinn" LLC, whose beneficiaries are the Mirzoyan brothers, as well as State Duma deputy Bekhan Barakhoev from the United Russia faction of Ingushetia. Ramzan Kadyrov has tasked State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov with resolving the situation related to Wildberries. Kadyrov noted that Russ Outdoor’s turnover is "a hundred times less" than that of Wildberries, and this company is engaged in entirely different business activities—advertising.
