New Details on the Tragic 8-Car Accident: One Dead, but Doctors Managed to Save a Victim

New details have emerged regarding the tragic car accident that occurred on July 22 in David Bek Street, Yerevan, resulting in the death of two individuals, as well as the identification of the drivers and injured parties. Shamshyan.com reports that a clinically deceased victim was successfully revived by doctors at the Erebuni Medical Center.

The accident involved several vehicles, including two ZIL trucks driven by Yerevan residents Artashes Chaghlasian, 50, and Tigran Aslanyan, 44; a Nissan driven by 47-year-old Gagik Khachatryan; a BMW driven by 60-year-old Ararat Petrosyan from Aragatsotn Province; a Mercedes driven by 28-year-old Zhirayr Azizyan, whose residence is being determined; an Opel driven by 75-year-old Ghazar Grigoryan; a Toyota driven by 36-year-old Garik Sargsyan from Armavir Province; and a Volkswagen driven by an unknown individual.

As a result of the collision, A. Chaghlasian and the driver of the Volkswagen died at the scene. Passengers in the Volkswagen, 22-year-old Spartak Avetisyan from Kotayk Province and 48-year-old Karen Baghdasaryan from Armavir Province, sustained injuries and were transported to Erebuni Medical Center. One of the injured was initially declared clinically dead but was later successfully resuscitated by doctors, and all injured parties are currently under medical supervision.

It is important to note that earlier reports indicated that on July 22, 2024, at approximately 09:58, a ZIL vehicle lost control and collided with seven other vehicles in the roadway portion opposite house number 45 on David Bek Street in Yerevan. This road accident ultimately resulted in the deaths of three individuals, with one person sustaining serious injuries and being taken to Erebuni Medical Center, where their condition is considered extremely critical.
