Harris Receives Sufficient Votes to Run for U.S. Presidency
U.S. President Joe Biden has stepped back from the electoral race, endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party's candidate. The Vice President has received the necessary votes to advance her candidacy for the presidency.
As reported by Reuters, Harris secured 2,538 votes out of the 1,976 required for nomination.
"I have fought against all kinds of criminals. I have fought against aggressors who perpetrate violence against women. I have battled against fraudsters who deceive people," Harris stated 28 hours after Biden's departure. "In this campaign, I am proud to oppose Trump's values with my own," she added.
