Democrats in the United States have donated over $100 million for Vice President Kamala Harris's participation in the upcoming presidential elections in November, following President Joe Biden's announcement two days ago about stepping out of the race.

According to bbc.com, this information has been reported by Harris's campaign team. Earlier, her team announced that a record-breaking $81 million was raised in a 24-hour fundraising period. During this time, over 888,000 individuals contributed amounts of up to $200, according to the ActBlue platform.

Donors, who had previously halted their support due to concerns about Biden's age, have now indicated their intention to resume their backing for the Democratic Party.
