Trump's Victory Will End the War in Ukraine Faster: Kobakhidze
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has commented on the latest developments in the presidential race in the United States. According to him, a victory for Republican Donald Trump will help bring an end to the war in Ukraine. This was reported by ekhokavkaza.com.
“Of course, we cannot interfere in anyone's elections, especially in a presidential election of such a large country as the United States. That is not our job. The only thing that can be said is that if Trump wins the election, the war in Ukraine will end faster. Therefore, our region will calm down more quickly, which will change the attitude towards Georgia in particular. If there is peace in the region, the attitude towards Georgia will change. That is all that can be said about it; the rest is up to the American people’s choice. The American people need to decide who their president will be,” said the Prime Minister of Georgia.
He then criticized the Georgian opposition. “The Georgian opposition not only criticized Trump; you remember what harsh, insulting expressions they used towards the former US President. Today their rhetoric has changed, as they believe that Trump is likely to win the elections, but no one can forget the coarse rhetoric they have used over the years. If Trump wins, the war in Ukraine will end sooner than it would in any other case, and thus the region will calm down more quickly. In such a scenario, the attitude towards Georgia will change, and there will be more fairness towards Georgia,” added Kobakhidze.
