Stray Dogs Attack, Triggering Gunfire That Damaged Neighbor's Fence
Criminal investigators from the Artashat division of the police received operational information indicating that gunfire was reported in the village of Dalar on July 16 at 1 AM. It was revealed that an unknown individual fired shots near one of the houses on Manukyan Street, causing damage to the fence of the dwelling.
A criminal case has been initiated at the Ararat regional investigative department. The police investigators from the Artashat division, in conjunction with the criminal investigators from the Ararat regional department, conducted operational search measures. They determined that around 1 AM on July 16, a 38-year-old resident of Dalar fired random gunshots from an illegally possessed automatic rifle while inside his 'VAZ-2107', damaging a neighbor's fence. Following the incident, he discarded the firearm in a nearby area and drove away.
As a result of further measures, he was located and brought to the Artashat division of the police along with his vehicle. After explanatory work was conducted at the division, he confessed to firing the shots, stating that he had been attacked by stray dogs. The 'VAZ-2107' has been moved to the division’s secure area.
The 38-year-old resident of Dalar was presented to the Ararat regional investigative department along with the necessary documentation. Efforts are underway to locate the weapon used in the crime. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
