Naval Exercises Involving Russia Begin in Iran

Joint naval exercises aimed at ensuring maritime security have commenced today in the territorial waters of Iran in the Caspian Sea, initiated by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s naval forces, with the participation of all maritime entities present in the Caspian Sea.

In the first phase of the exercises, a firefighting operation was conducted in the Caspian Sea today. According to the official representative of the exercises, Abbas Hasani, one of the phases of the exercises involved the naval forces of Iran and Russia working on extinguishing a fire on a commercial vessel, rescuing the injured, and addressing the aftermath, following a pre-prepared scenario.
