Major Car Accident in Central Yerevan Involving 4 Vehicles, Injuries Reported

Today, July 22, at around 16:50, a major chain car accident occurred in Yerevan. The incident took place at the beginning of the tunnel leading from Heratsi Street to Khanjyan Street, involving vehicles from the brands "Volkswagen," "Chevrolet," "Nissan," and "Honda." According to the website, as a result of the accident, three individuals with varying degrees of bodily injuries were transported to the Heratsi University Hospital No. 1. The injured were first assisted by citizens, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations' rescue service, and the emergency medical team on duty.

Rescue workers later disconnected the vehicles from the electric current and carried out standby duty on-site. A criminal case has been initiated in the investigative department regarding the accident, where the identities of the drivers and the injured are being determined. At the investigator's request, the vehicles are being transferred to the protected area of the police unit in Yerevan.
