Kremlin Responds to Biden's Decision to Withdraw from Election Race

Russia prioritizes achieving the objectives of its special military operation rather than focusing on the results of the US elections, said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President.

Recall that Joe Biden has withdrawn from the race for the US presidential elections. The current US president announced this on his microblog on X.

“As a nation, we have made significant progress over the past three and a half years. Today, America has the strongest economy in the world. America has never been in a better position to play a leading role than today. I know that none of this could have been achieved without you, the American people. Together we overcame the pandemic and the greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression. We have protected and preserved our democracy. We have revitalized and strengthened our alliances around the world. It has been the greatest honor of my life to be your President. Although I intended to run for re-election, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and my country that I withdraw from the race and focus on fulfilling my presidential duties for the time remaining. Later this week, I will speak more to the people about my decision,” Biden wrote.

He also announced full support for Vice President Kamala Harris as the unified candidate of the Democratic Party.
