Terror Attack Averted Ahead of Euro 2024 Final in Germany

The German police have thwarted a terrorist attack just hours before the Euro 2024 final match between Spain and England at the Breitscheidplatz in Berlin, according to The Sun newspaper citing its sources.

"The attackers' target was the fan zone for England supporters at the Breitscheidplatz in Berlin. German police arrested three suspects during safety checks, which led to the prevention of the terrorist act," the publication reports.

The authors of the article added that all suspects had previously been on the police's watch list. According to sources, photos of Berlin's square and the church located in it were found on their phones.
