Zelensky Calls Trump the President of the United States

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky referred to Donald Trump, the candidate for the U.S. presidency, as the president in a message regarding their recent conversation. The post was published on July 20 on the Ukrainian leader's Telegram channel.

During the phone call with Trump, Zelensky congratulated the presidential candidate on his nomination. Additionally, the Ukrainian leader wished him success in his electoral campaign.

“We agreed to discuss, during a personal meeting with President Trump, the specific steps that could make the world fair and truly sustainable,” the post stated. Zelensky also mentioned that Ukraine will always be grateful for the support from the U.S.

Trump had earlier described his conversation with Zelensky as “very good.” He promised that if he wins the presidential election in November, he will “bring peace to the whole world” and put an end to the Ukrainian conflict.

The next U.S. presidential election is scheduled for November 5, 2024. Party conventions will be held in August and September to officially nominate one candidate from each party. The final stage will be the voting in November.
