No State Has Filed Complaints Regarding Armenian Satellites: Ministry
One of the newspapers wrote that Armenian satellites have become a scourge for similar equipment in other countries.
No state has filed complaints regarding Armenian satellites. This was reported by the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia in response to a query from Sputnik Armenia.
Previously, the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' reported that the Armenian satellites launched into space, 'HaySat1' and 'ArmSat 1', have become a disaster for the satellites of other countries, disrupting the operations of several nations' satellites or parts of their programs. According to the paper, letters have been sent to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan from various governments, urging him to bring down the satellite(s) due to the unprofessional and poorly calculated nature of their work, as well as their quality and launch.
‘The Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia has not received any written or verbal communication from any state regarding the claim that the radio frequencies operated by the 'HaySat 1' and 'ArmSat 1' satellites have caused interference with the radio frequencies of other states' operational satellites and satellite networks,’ the agency’s response states.
It should be noted that the 'Urdaneta' satellite was developed for Armenia by the Spanish company 'Satlantis'. Its operation took place at the end of May 2022, after which it was renamed 'ArmSat 1'. The first Armenian-made satellite, 'HaySat 1', was launched in December 2023.
