Iran Has Accelerated Its Nuclear Program and Is Close to Development: Blinken
Iran has accelerated its nuclear program and is close to developing nuclear weapons. This was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken at the Aspen Security Forum in Colorado, as reported by Armenpress.
“In recent weeks and months, we have seen Iran truly advance in the development of fissile material that can be used as fuel for nuclear weapons,” Blinken said.
At the same time, Blinken blamed the administration of former President Donald Trump for withdrawing from the nuclear agreement with Iran in 2018. According to him, Iran has not yet created the weapon itself but can connect the fissile material, the explosive device, and thus possess nuclear weapons.
