Earthquake 16 km South of Yerevan

Today, at 19:40 local time (15:40 GMT), a 2.7 magnitude earthquake was registered by the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia at a depth of 10 km, located at geographic coordinates 40.04° N latitude and 44.51° E longitude, 30 km south of Yerevan.

The intensity of the underground tremors in the epicentral zone was recorded at 3-4 points. The earthquake was felt in Yerevan with an intensity of 3-4 points and in the Ararat region with an intensity of 2-4 points.
