Biden Calls Zelensky 'President Putin'; Ukrainian President Responds
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has promised to overlook a mistake made by his American counterpart, Joe Biden, who referred to him as Putin during a NATO summit in Washington. Zelensky commented on the U.S. leader's gaffe during a visit to Ireland, where he is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Simon Harris, as reported by RTE.
Lenta.ru relays that "President Zelensky, in his brief speech, expressed gratitude to the people of Ireland for their support and for welcoming refugees. He also mentioned that U.S. President Joe Biden, who called him 'President Putin', made a 'mistake', adding that he could forget about that error as the United States has been providing significant support to Ukraine."
During the meeting, Zelensky and Harris are expected to discuss military operations in Ukraine. Additionally, the Irish Prime Minister will reaffirm support for Ukraine's application for EU membership.
